HYPE DOCUMENTATION

Setup, tutorial & notifications

Everything a new HYPE user needs: install the Windows app, open Xbox Cloud Gaming or GeForce NOW, save sign-ins, redeem a plan, and connect phone notifications.

Download HYPE-Setup.exe

1. Install HYPE

  1. Download HYPE-Setup.exe from this page.
  2. Open the setup file. HYPE installs for your Windows user and creates Start menu and desktop shortcuts.
  3. When setup finishes, HYPE opens automatically. If Windows asks you to confirm opening the installer, choose the option to continue only when the file came from hypecldserv.online.
  4. Keep your internet connection on during the first launch. HYPE finishes downloading and preparing its browser runtime, so the first start can take longer than later starts.

Do not move HYPE.exe out of its installed folder. The app keeps its browser files and update files together so future launches and updates work correctly.

2. Create your HYPE account

  1. Choose Create account.
  2. Enter your email, display name, and a password with at least 8 characters.
  3. Sign in. Your plan, profiles, and session tools are shown in the HYPE dashboard.

Your Xbox, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and GeForce NOW passwords are entered only on those services' official sign-in pages inside their session windows. HYPE does not ask for those passwords in its dashboard.

3. Tutorial: launch a cloud gaming window

  1. From Overview, choose GeForce NOW or Xbox Cloud Gaming.
  2. Select Launch session. A separate HYPE session window opens.
  3. Sign in on the official Xbox or NVIDIA page shown in that window.
  4. Start your game from that service's own library. HYPE opens the service home page; it does not launch a game for you.
  5. Use Focus in HYPE to bring an open session forward, or close individual windows from the Sessions view.

Save a reusable profile

  1. Open Profiles and choose Add profile.
  2. Pick Xbox Cloud Gaming or GeForce NOW and give the profile a name.
  3. Launch the profile and sign in once. The next launch reuses that profile's saved browser sign-in.
  4. Use separate profiles when you need separate platform accounts or separate saved sessions.

Use Sync Control

Sync Control copies supported controller, keyboard, and mouse input from the focused session to the other open sessions. Turn it on only when you want those windows controlled together. Each session card can be left out of sync when it needs separate input.

Plan limits still apply. Free includes 2 open windows, Plus includes 6, and Pro and Lifetime include 20.

4. Buy and redeem a plan

  1. Open Subscription in HYPE.
  2. Choose Plus ($8/month), Pro ($17/month), or Lifetime ($35 once).
  3. Choose Pay with Stripe and complete checkout in your browser.
  4. Copy the license code you receive after purchase.
  5. Back in HYPE, paste the code under Redeem code from email and choose Unlock.

The promo code BUNNY takes $10 off Lifetime at Stripe checkout, bringing Lifetime to $25 when that promotion is active.

Returning from the Stripe page does not unlock HYPE by itself. The license code is what activates the plan.

5. Notification setup

HYPE's AFK panel currently sends test phone notifications through ntfy. This lets you confirm phone alerts before automatic notification triggers are enabled.

Install and subscribe in the ntfy app

  1. Install the free ntfy app on your phone.
  2. Open HYPE and go to the AFK view.
  3. Choose Random to create a private topic that looks like hype-afk-xxxxxxxxxx.
  4. In the ntfy app, subscribe to that exact topic name. Capital letters and dashes must match.
  5. Allow notifications for ntfy in your phone settings. On Android, also allow ntfy to run in the background if your phone uses strict battery saving.

Send a test notification

  1. Stay in HYPE's AFK view.
  2. Confirm the topic field contains the same topic you subscribed to on your phone.
  3. Choose Send test.
  4. Wait a few seconds and check the ntfy app or your phone notification shade.

Keep your topic private. Anyone who knows the exact topic can subscribe to it or post to it. Use the Random button and do not post your topic publicly.

What Start does today

The AFK panel's controls and modes are available for setup and tuning. In the current release, callout listening is off: pressing Start arms the panel, but game callouts do not automatically send phone alerts yet. Use Send test to verify your notification path. Real SMS through Twilio can be enabled when a Twilio sending number is configured.

6. Updates

HYPE checks hypecldserv.online for signed updates when it launches. You can also choose the HYPE logo's Check for updates control in the app.

  1. When a newer signed version is available, HYPE downloads the replacement from hypecldserv.online.
  2. HYPE verifies the file before installing it.
  3. The app restarts after the update is staged.

If the website is temporarily unreachable, HYPE still opens and skips that update check.

7. Troubleshooting

A session window does not open

  1. Close HYPE completely and open it again.
  2. Make sure your internet connection can open play.geforcenow.com or xbox.com/play.
  3. Run this support test from the folder where HYPE is installed: HYPE.exe --smoke-test
  4. Open %APPDATA%\hype\hype.log and look for the three lines beginning with SMOKE. They show whether HTTPS, the GeForce window, and the Xbox window worked.

The first launch is slow

The first launch may download the browser runtime. Stay online and give it time to finish. Do not delete the webview2 folder after setup. Later launches should open much faster.

A test notification does not arrive

Reinstall HYPE

Uninstall HYPE from Windows Settings > Apps, then run the latest HYPE-Setup.exe again. Reinstalling is also the simplest recovery step after an interrupted first-launch browser download.
